AVL is a global company specializing in the development, simulation, and testing of systems and components in the automotive and other industries. For their new corporate film and a dedicated film for the Simulation department – produced by Steady Motion – these technologies needed to be visually integrated. The requirement for the visual concept went well beyond pure illustration: the technological systems needed to be staged in a way that makes the film stand out visually and remain highly memorable.
We were responsible for the execution of the 3D and VFX sequences. Our technical and conceptual focus was on creating striking visual highlights that lend a distinctive character to the narrative. To achieve this, we developed digital holograms and integrated them into the live-action footage through seamless compositing. This allowed us to transform key technical areas such as powertrain testing, autonomous driving, and transmission and fuel cell development into visually stunning sequences with high recall value.
